 OverView
|
Prof. Shadi Al Khateeb is a Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering in the Department of Materials Engineering at Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Utah, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of Birmingham in the UK, a globally ranked institution (Top 100 in QS World University Rankings). His Ph.D. study was sponsored by Al-Balqa Applied University and supported by the prestigious Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS), which covered his tuition fees. He also holds both a masters and a bachelors degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Al-Balqa Applied University, graduating with distinction.
Prof. Al Khateeb has held several key academic leadership positions at Al-Balqa Applied University, including Vice Dean for the Deanship of Scientific Research and Innovation during the 2024_2025 academic year. He also served as the Head of the Department of Materials Engineering and the Department of Basic Engineering Sciences for several years.
His international research experience includes three years of postdoctoral work in the United States at the University of Florida (2013_2014) and the University of Utah (2016_2018), supported by competitive grants from the Arab Fund Fellowship Program in Kuwait, Jordans Scientific Research and Innovation Support Fund, a sabbatical leave, and others.
In addition to his academic leadership and research contributions, Prof. Al Khateeb received several international (USA) and local grants, and he is the holder of a U.S. patent and has published extensively in leading international journals in his field.
